Gray cushion with graphics from the art and music research project "Metabolisations" by Transposition Industries. Two images are flowing over the entire cushion so that you can use both sides. The pillow cover can be removed with a zipper and can be washed separately.
Metabolisations is the result of a dynamic system (designed according to artistic criteria) that reacts to different types of scientific data. This experiment includes simulations of brain activity carried out at KTH, simulations of the development of the universe (Millenium Simulation) and particle physics experiments from the COMPASS experiment at CERN in Geneva. The pattern is produced by playing a video of the metabolization and taking a long exposure of the image from the screen, thereby transposing temporal aspects in space.
